Dublin Bus diversions in place and Luas disruption due to city centre Palestine protest
A protest in Dublin city centre is causing diversions to public transport.The protest is a National Demonstration for Palestine, organised by the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign. The march began at the Garden of Remembrance at 1pm and finishes outside the Dáil on Molesworth Street/ Kildare Street.The Lusa has curtailed services between Dominick and St. Stephen's Green. "This is due to a protest march taking place in the city centre," said TFI."Passengers, please be advised Luas Green Line services are currently only operating from Brides Glen to St. Stephen's Green and Broombridge to Dominick...We apologise for any inconvenience caused."Dublin Bus have also provided a list of diversions due to the closure of Molesworth Street. They said: " We wish to advise customers that Molesworth Street will be closed until further notice.As a result the following diversions will be in place:Route 37 Towards Blanchardstown Normal Route to St Stephens Green, then divert to Kildare Street and back on to normal route. Towards Wilton Terrace Normal RouteRoutes 39/a Towards Ongar Normal Route to St Stephens Green, then divert to Kildare Street and back on to normal route. Towards Baggot Street Normal RouteRoute 70 Towards Dunboyne Normal Route to St Stephens Green, then divert to Kildare Street and back on to normal route. Towards Baggot Street Normal RouteRoute 44 Towards DCU Normal Route to St Stephens Green, then divert to Kildare Street and back on to normal route.
