In photos: National Demonstration for Palestine in Dublin city centre
Thousands of people took to the streets of Dublin today for a National Demonstration in support of Palestine. The 'National Demonstration for Palestine: There is No Ceasefire!' march is the latest in a number of protests across Ireland calling for sanctions on Israel. Taking place on rainy Saturday afternoon, marchers held their banners and chanted as they made their way from Parnell Square to Molesworth Street, stopping traffic and public transport as they went. They chanted slogans relating to the boycotting of the UEFA Nations League if Ireland plays Israel. Ireland was drawn against Kosovo, Israel and Austria in Group B3 in the upcoming UEFA Nations League. The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign who organised the march, said this is the 19th National March for Palestine which has taken place since October 2023.
