Amy Huberman steals the show in effortless elegance at the IFTAs
It may have been a rainy night in Dublin, but the dismal weather didn’t rain on the fashion parade as the stars descended on the Dublin Royal Convention Centre for the 2026 Irish Film and Television Awards.
While the Oscars might be just around the corner, Dublin gave Tinseltown a run for its money on Friday night as the red carpet was awash with glamorous fashion.
While she wasn’t up for an award, our very own Amy Huberman was the standout winner in the most elegantly dressed category.

Opting for a one-shoulder sweetheart full-length black velvet dress that oozes effortless Hollywood sophistication, Amy simply stunned as she beamed from ear to ear at the celebrity-studded soiree.
And Kerry native Jessie Buckley, who made a whistlestop trip back home especially for the awards ceremony, looked every inch the leading lady in a floor-sweeping black gown that featured a daring structural neckline.
With her signature cropped hair and a bold red lip, she balanced an edgy and elegant look.

However, it wasn’t all black and pared back as there was an interspersing of colour in the form of a fun and flirty tartan two-piece worn by rising star Danielle Galligan.

The vibrant red and green weave was a cheeky nod to her Irish roots, paired with towering platform heels that proved the Gen-Z star is growing up fast.

The men certainly didn’t fade into the background, either. Cillian Murphy, the man of the hour, opted for a sharp, slim-fit midnight blue tuxedo rather than standard black, looking characteristically cool as he walked the carpet with his wife, Yvonne McGuinness.

Yvonne complemented her husband perfectly in a shimmering bronze slip dress that caught the camera flashes from every angle.
The Saipan crew brought some sporting grit to the glamour, with Steve Coogan, nominated for his uncanny turn as Mick McCarthy, looking dapper in a classic charcoal suit. He laughed and joked with co-star Éanna Hardwicke, the pair clearly enjoying catching up after the success of their smash hit footie flick.
Beauty-wise, the Sculpted look ruled the red carpet.
Thanks to official partner Sculpted By Aimee, the red carpet was shimmering with style, with Aimee herself radiating red goddess couture.
As the stars moved from the biting cold of the red carpet into the warmth of the ballroom to see Ciarán Hinds collect his Lifetime Achievement Award, one thing was certain: Irish film has never looked, or dressed, more appealing.
