Hollywood comes home as Jessie Buckley and Cillian Murphy lead a star-studded IFTAs pack
Dublin was awash with cinematic glamour on Friday nightas the stars turned up to celebrate what was truly a remarkable year for Irish film and television.
The Irish Film and Television Awards (IFTAs), or as they have become colloquially known, The Irish Oscars, saw a host of homegrown and international talent pitch up on the red carpet.
Leading the star-studded pack was Oscar nominee Jessie Buckley, who arrived on the red carpet radiating a quiet, sophisticated drama.

Nominated for Best Lead Actress for her acclaimed performance in Hamnet, Buckley opted for a pared-back ensemble that balanced her signature avant-garde edge with timeless Hollywood glamour.
Wearing a floor-length, black textured gown featuring a striking, wide, off-the-shoulder neckline, Buckley kept her styling minimalist, allowing her simple yet nonetheless stunning gown to take centre stage. Her hair was styled in a chic, side-parted blonde bob. Jessie was a statement in effortless, timeless style.

Fresh off a string of international successes, Cillian Murphy returned to Dublin to celebrate his nomination for Best Lead Actor in the film Steve. Murphy, famously private, made a rare and celebrated red carpet appearance alongside his wife, visual artist Yvonne McGuinness.
Dressed in his relaxed style for which he has become accustomed, Cillian cut a laid-back dash, wearing a classic black tailored suit paired with a crisp, light-blue button-down shirt. Eschewing the traditional tie, Murphy looked delighted to be on home turf.

The 23rd annual IFTAs weren’t just about the fashion; the evening was a significant milestone for the Irish Academy.
Hosted by Kevin McGahern, the ceremony saw Ciarán Hinds receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, surrounded by his long-time friends and colleagues from the world of Irish film and telly.
