Roscommon 3-16 Monaghan 1-16 After late heartbreak to Kerry on the opening weekend, Roscommon recorded their first win with two goals separating them and Monaghan at King & Moffat Dr Hyde Park. The sides traded early goals, but despite a late Daniel Cregg free in the half, Monaghan led 1-08 to 1-06 at halftime. Diarmuid Murtagh’s goal, ten minutes into the second half, put the Rossies three ahead, and Cregg then kicked a two-pointer before Enda Smith slotted home a penalty to make it 3-11 to 1-10. The sides traded scores in the final 20 minutes as goals proved the difference in the end. Roscommon played Armagh next, while Monaghan face Dublin at Croke Park.
