While rumors about James Gunn’s next Superman movie continue, especially those about Wonder Woman’s potential appearance, new DC Universe fan art casts Odessa A’Zion as the Amazon Princess. The DCU has served as a soft reboot of the DC Extended Universe, with certain cast members and stories staying and others being fully rebooted. Falling into the latter category is Superman, who got a new movie in 2025 directed by James Gunn and starring David Corenswet as the title character. Instead of being an origin story, Superman follows the title character, who is already an established hero, as he faces Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult) and his plans. Superman was a critical and commercial success, so it’s not surprising that a sequel is now in development. Titled Man of Tomorrow, the movie will bring Corenswet and Hoult back, with Lars Eidinger cast as Brainiac. Gunn is back as writer and director of the Superman follow-up, and unsurprisingly, he has had to debunk various rumors. Rumors about Wonder Woman and even Batman appearing in Man of Tomorrow have been floating around for months, with the former gaining force after the description of a supporting female character being “warrior-like.” However, Gunn debunked these rumors in January 2026, replying on Threads that rumors about Wonder Woman and Batman appearing in Man of Tomorrow are false, and while they are casting a female character, it’s not the Amazon warrior. While this information comes directly from the writer and director of Man of Tomorrow, it could be possible that Gunn is misleading the audience to keep certain characters and plot points a secret, which wouldn’t be the first time. I would say that, right now, the possibilities of Wonder Woman appearing in Man of Tomorrow in some capacity are 50/50.
