Glenullin takes on the Kerry and Munster Intermediate champions of An Gaeltacht as they look to cap off their centenary year in style at Croke Park today.The village club at the edge of the Sperrins has never won a national title, and walking up the steps of the Hogan stand would be the fairytale ending to their season.Backed by their dedicated fans, including their now-iconic band of neon-green balaclava-wearing ‘ultras’, Glenullin have gone further than any previous generation at the south Derry side, which has caused their support to grow and grow with every round they play.In their All-Ireland semi-final, against Strokestown of Roscommon and Connacht, the Oak Leaf side put five past their opponents in Ballyshannon to seal their place on Jones’ Road.An Gaeltacht, who are also looking for their first All-Ireland title, squeezed past Sallins of Leinster at Páirc Uí Chaoimh thanks to Éanna Ó Conchúir‘s last-minute two-point free.Glenullin are hoping to be Derry’s sixth All-Ireland-winning club, along with Ballinderry, Bellaghy, Glen, Lavey and Steelstown, with Watty Graham’s winning most recently in 2024.
