Coronation Street's Alison King reveals Corriedale secrets
Coronation Street star Alison King has revealed the fate of her character Carla Connor on Monday’s highly anticipated Coronation Street and Emmerdale crossover.
The hour-long special airs on Monday, January 29, on Virgin Media One at 8 pm and will see up to 40 characters from the soap operas come together in what has been dubbed Corriedale.
The show will see the residents of Weatherfield and the Yorkshire Dales come together for the first time in an action-packed special that promises explosive drama, nail-biting twists and unforgettable character interactions.

While the details for the special have remained under wraps up to now, fans have been teased with several deaths that will rock both shows.
Coronation Street’s Carla Connor is currently being held hostage at the hands of horrid Becky Swain, with the trailer showing both women appearing in the crossover.
Speaking ahead of the show, actress Alison detailed how she feared for her character’s life, but was happy to see she was ‘not even maimed.’

She added: ‘There’s no words it’s just one thing after the other. I was like how on Earth are we gonna do it?’
The first-time ever crossover will see up to 40 characters across the shows appearing, including Corrie’s Abi Webster, Billy Mayhew, Carl Webster, and Emmerdale’s Eric Pollard, Jacob Gallagher, Jai Sharma, and Joe Tate.

The special show comes to mark the launch of the new Soap Power Hour schedule, which will bring Irish viewers Emmerdale at 8 pm, followed by Coronation Street at 8.30 pm every weekday.
It is just one of a host of exciting shows included in the new Virgin Media Television Spring 2026 line-up, which kicks off on Monday with Corriedale.
Elsewhere, Virgin Media viewers can get ready for the return of one of the most beloved sitcoms of all time — FRIENDS — which will air weekdays at 7.30 pm on Virgin Media One from Monday, January 6.
