Max Verstappen’s Las Vegas-themed Christmas T-shirt sparks chaos on Reddit
Fans have been left in stitches following a post from Max Verstappen's partner, Kelly Piquet, over the Christmas period. The four-time champion was pictured holding a black T-shirt featuring a stylised version of one of his Las Vegas Grand Prix moments: trophy in hand, glasses on.
The photo was shared as a story on Instagram, but it was on Reddit where it really took off.
Within hours, the r/Formula1 thread descended into jokes as fans of the championship celebrated how happy Verstappen looked as he held what appeared to be a Christmas present. Several fans said he looked "in a really good place" after a successful 2025 season and the birth of his first biological daughter.
Others added that the T-shirt should be added to the driver's own line of merchandise, admitting that his and Red Bull's broader merchandise is "so boring and tired". One comment suggested that Piquet should be put in charge of the project, with several commenters saying they would "buy this instantly" if it went on sale.
It's not confirmed if the T-shirt graphic has been edited at all with AI, but it was shared by Piquet personally and didn't include any form of advertisement.
As enthusiasm grew, the thread collapsed into chaos as it became inundated with third-party sellers and dropshippers, each fighting to get their products in front of Reddit users' eyes. Moderators eventually locked the thread to stop this, but even commenters joked that the reaction proved how badly fans wanted something like this on the market.
The conversation also veered into how the image of Verstappen had changed this year. The public perception of the Dutchman has softened as fans started cheering for the underdog who, maybe unlike previous seasons, is now "generally liked or loved".

After a surge in the latter half of the season saw him miss out on a championship win by just two points, the Red Bull driver was pleased with his effort this year. Fans are equally as impressed, with one commenter summing up the sentiment neatly: “That shirt screams champion energy and zero subtlety," the comment read.
