iSH appoints new project officer to help it support businesses
Ellen MuncasterA leading industry organisation in Cumbria has expanded its team to help it support businesses in manufacturing, robotics, digital and other sectors.Industrial Solutions Hub, known as iSH, has appointed Ellen Muncaster as a project officer.Ellen, who formerly worked at Britain’s Energy Coast Business Cluster, has strong experience of the Cumbrian industry and business landscape.Supported by the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, Sellafield Ltd and Cumberland Council, iSH encourages collaboration between industry, supply chain companies, and other organisations.As well as driving forward the development of the iSH Enterprise Campus at Leconfield in Cleator Moor, iSH showcases businesses involved in its industrial clusters in manufacturing, robotics and digital.Many of these businesses are involved in helping solve nuclear decommissioning challenges across the NDA’s estate in the UK as well as working further afield in the USA, Japan and Europe.Ellen, who has a business, accounting and Ffnance degree from the University of Cumbria, said: “The diversity and scope of work that iSH are doing attracted me to the role. iSH covers so many different areas of work, with the development at Leconfield and cluster groups in robotics, manufacturing and digital, that are all of interest to me.“In my previous role, my main responsibilities were working with industry sector groups, and I am looking forward to further developing my expertise with the iSH clusters.”Living in Cleator Moor with husband Adam and children Heidi and Thomas, Ellen is also proud that iSH is making such a positive impact on the local community, including helping to prepare the next generation for the jobs of the future in growing sectors.Ellen said: “When you have kids, you want the best for them, and you want the best opportunities to come their way.
