Local Dublin favourite crowned National Pub of the Year
Clondalkin favourite The Laurels has officially been crowned National Pub of the Year at the 2025 Irish Pub Awards.
The Main Street institution pulled off a major double win at the Mansion House ceremony on 12 November, also taking home Best Local Pub, solidifying its status as one of the standout spots in Irish hospitality.
The triumph follows an already stellar year for the venue, which was named Local Bar of the Year at the Bar of the Year Awards earlier in 2025.

A long-standing cornerstone of the Clondalkin community, The Laurels is celebrated for its warm welcome, hearty food, and lively atmosphere.
Under owner Louis Fitzgerald and General Manager Damien Long, the pub has built a loyal following and a reputation for giving back.
Its much-loved Laurels Cycle Crew has raised almost €1.4 million for charity through events including the Santa Cycle and the Galway to Dublin Cycle.

Inside, the pub keeps things fresh with locally sourced dishes, weekly Steak Nights, Family Friday meal deals, and a cocktail menu with a global twist.
Entertainment is a key part of the experience too, with live music every weekend, big-screen sport, and seasonal events that pack the house.
The Laurels also regularly opens its doors to community groups, hosting craft fairs, afternoon teas for senior citizens, and outings for its long-running Golf Society.
Reacting to the double win, Louis Fitzgerald said the team is ‘absolutely delighted’ to see The Laurels recognised at the highest level.
‘This is the top honour in our industry and a huge credit to Damien and his fantastic team,’ he said. ‘Their passion, hard work, and genuine care for customers shine through in everything they do. We couldn’t be prouder and look forward to celebrating with our loyal customers in the weeks and months ahead.’
