New fashion store that's first of its kind in region opening in Derby this Christmas
A new shop is opening in Derbion before the end of the year(Image: Derby Telegraph)A growing fashion brand is looking to open its first store in the East Midlands later this year - and it's right on the doorstep for Derby shoppers.Crew Clothing is set to open a new store at Derbion before the end of the year, with bosses saying it'll offer a wide selection of smart casual staples inspired by Britain's coast.Marking the brand’s only standalone store in the East Midlands, the opening will offer shoppers the chance to discover a range of clothing across menswear, womenswear, accessories and footwear, including its recognisable crossed oars-crested rugby and polo shirts.Located on Level 2 next to Hobbs, the new 1,200 sq ft store is set to open at Derbion "by the end of the year" - so we can expect an extra place to browse during the Boxing Day sales.The hoardings have been spotted in the shopping centre(Image: Derbion)Beth McDonald, managing director of Derbion, said: “We’re thrilled to reveal that Crew Clothing is set to arrive at the centre before the end of the year – offering shoppers the chance to shop its premium fashion collection just in time for Christmas.“We’re confident that Crew Clothing’s offer of coast-inspired clothing will be popular with our shoppers, and we look forward to their opening at Derbion very soon.”Founded in Salcombe, Devon, in 1993, Crew Clothing is a British lifestyle brand inspired by a "love of the great outdoors," a spokesperson said.Three decades on, their style remains on the high street, with clothing crafted for men, women and children.Crew Clothing has become a popular UK clothing brand and has grown its presence across the country with over 100 standalone stores and outlets nationwide.Carol Kane, head of retail north from Crew Clothing, said: “We are excited to be bringing Crew Clothing to the East Midlands."In Derbion we have the perfect location to grow our footprint across the region, and we look forward to working with the Derbion team to create a best-in-class standalone store.“The store will open just in time for the festive season, and customers will be able to shop our new Winter and Christmas and collections in store from opening.”
