In recent weeks, Beatrice and her sister, Princess Eugenie, have kept a notably low profile.Their father, the former Duke of York, has been embroiled in controversy over his connections with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Whilst Beatrice and her sister maintain a close bond with both parents, including mother Sarah Ferguson, the two Princesses have not been spotted at the soon-to-be former family residence, Royal Lodge on the Windsor Great Estate. However, mere hours after it was revealed that her uncle, King Charles, had removed Andrew's Royal titles, including Royal Highness and Prince, Beatrice secured a new position. She has now become Deputy Patron of The Outward Bound Trust. She will work alongside her uncle, Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, who serves as Royal Patron. Before this appointment, the Princess had been a Trustee for six years. Her father, Andrew, had previously occupied the Royal Patron role until 2019. Discussing her new appointment, Beatrice, 37, told the Mirror: "I feel incredibly inspired and grateful to have met so many young people like Sadie and Leo through the years that I've been a part of Outward Bound. They show us that anything is possible when you put your mind to it, and that what Outward Bound does, works.", reports the Mirror.Princess Beatrice of York attends the Art Of Wishes Gala 2025(Image: Jed Cullen/Dave Benett/Getty Ima)Her Royal Highness and her uncle, The Duke of Edinburgh, hope to continue the legacy of the organisation(Image: The Outward Bound Trust)"Working with The Duke of Edinburgh, we aim to continue the 80+ years of evidence which shows that adventure can build resilience, confidence and kindness in young people."At a gathering for Outward Bound supporters on November 6 at St James's Palace, both Beatrice and Edward met with 18 year old students Sadie and Leo from Walsall Academy, who shared their personal experiences with the charity.During the occasion, Sadie gifted the Duke of Edinburgh a rowan tree sapling, representing strength, courage and resilience. Leo, meanwhile, presented Princess Beatrice with a Celtic brooch, representing unity, continuity and good fortune.Beatrice has long championed charitable causes and organisations. Throughout the years, the granddaughter of the late Queen Elizabeth has collaborated with charities including Children in Crisis, UNICEF and Teenage Cancer Trust.Commenting on the appointments of Edward and Beatrice, Martin Davidson, Chief Executive of Outward Bound Trust, remarked: "With The Duke of Edinburgh and Princess Beatrice working alongside us, we're embarking on a new chapter."One where every young person has the chance to test their limits, build confidence and discover that anything is possible. Their support reflects a shared belief that adventure changes lives."The Princess and her uncle are continuing the organisation's Royal connection, which stretches back more than 70 years thanks to her grandfather, the late Prince Philip. The Duke held the position of Patron of The Outward Bound Trust from 1953 until 2019, playing a key role in establishing the organisation's foundations. The announcement regarding Beatrice followed Andrew being officially stripped of all his titles – including Royal Highness and Prince, both of which he was granted at birth as the monarch's son.The King issued Letters Patent under the Great Seal of the Realm – a legal document authorised by the sovereign. It was published in The Gazette, the UK's official public record, by the Crown Office and confirms that Andrew is no longer entitled to be a prince or hold the style 'Royal Highness'.The entry, published on Wednesday, read: "THE KING has been pleased by Letters Patent under the Great Seal of the Realm dated 3 November 2025 to declare that Andrew Mountbatten Windsor shall no longer be entitled to hold and enjoy the style, title or attribute of 'Royal Highness' and the titular dignity of 'Prince'."Jeffrey Epstein(Image: Florida Department of Law Enforc)Prince Andrew, Virginia Giuffre, and Ghislaine Maxwell posing for a photo(Image: US District Court - Southern Dis)Due to the allegations he faces, all of which he denies, Andrew has found himself ostracised by his family. Despite holding a "cast-iron" lease on his residence, Royal Lodge on The Crown Estate, he will now be removed.Instead, he will relocate to the privately owned Sandringham Estate and will receive an allowance from the King. Last month, the King made an unusual and historic announcement confirming that the former Prince Andrew, Duke of York, will now live as a private citizen under the name Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. The statement read: "His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew. Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence."Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease, and he will move to alternative private accommodation. These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him. Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse."Despite his loss of titles, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie will keep theirs due to being the children of a son of the monarch, their grandmother, the late Queen.Andrew stepped back from Royal duties in 2019 following accusations by Virginia Giuffre that he had sex with her in March 2001 when she was only 17. She claimed she had been trafficked by Epstein and his girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell.Virginia alleged that Epstein and his girlfriend took her to Tramp nightclub in London, where she met Andrew and later had sex with him that night. She alleged that Epstein had given her $15,000 after sleeping with Andrew. In a 2019 interview with BBC's Newsnight, Andrew categorically denied these allegations, telling presenter Maitlis that he had no memory of meeting Virginia.Andrew continues to strongly refute all accusations levelled against him.Subscribe to our newsletter for the latest news from the Irish Mirror direct to your inbox: Sign up here.
