Man injured after baseball bat and knife assault in south Dublin

An image of the attack in LoughlinstownA man has been seriously injured after a shocking assault by two other men armed with a baseball bat and a knife in south Dublin.Gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene in Loughlinstown on Monday afternoon after receiving reports of the assault. Footage seen by Dublin Live shows two men - one holding a baseball bat, the other holding a knife - attacking an unseen victim inside a car.The victim's leg can be briefly seen kicking out after one final bat shot by the assailants, who fled the scene. The victim, who is aged in his 20s, was rushed from the scene to nearby St Vincent's University Hospital.Thankfully, his injuries are not expected to be life-threatening. A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí received a report of an alleged incident of assault in Loughlinstown, Co. Dublin on Monday, 20th October 2025."A man aged in his 20s was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
