Half year profit down for French luxury fashion brand Hermès
French luxury fashion house Hermès on Wednesday reported a drop in earnings for the first half of the year.Net income attributable to owners of the parent declined to €2.246 billion ($2.595 billion) or €21.39 per share from €2.368 billion or €22.58 per share last year, the Paris-headquartered firm said.Revenue for the period came in at €8.034 billion up from €7.504 billion last year.In the medium-term, despite the economic, geopolitical and monetary uncertainties around the world, Hermès confirmed an ambitious goal for revenue growth at constant exchange rates.
