Knockholt Valentine's Day pub shooting: Man suspected of shooting mother-of-two outside pub on Valentine's Day 'confessed to friend before jumping to his death off a bridge' 

A man suspected of shooting a mother-of-two outside a pub on Valentine's Day had allegedly called friends and confessed to what he had done.Lisa Smith, 43, was with a female friend when she was killed outside the Three Horseshoes pub in Knockholt, Kent, on Friday evening.Her partner - named locally as Edvard Smith - is understood to be the main suspect in the shooting. Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with her murder.Mr Smith called Leslie Thompson less than two hours after the shooting and told him: 'She's dead, I love you. I'll see you on the other side,' the BBC has reported. He is then believed to have driven to the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, near Dartford, ten miles away, and jumped in the Thames but has so far not been located. Mr Thompson claimed his phone rang at around 8.50pm, and Mr Smith told him: 'I can't live, we've all gone together' and that 'armed police will probably shoot me.' Lisa's son, Teejay Smith, yesterday paid tribute to his mother describing her as 'the best'.Writing on Facebook, he said: 'My dear old mum never be another to walk in her shoes the best.'
