Email Harry.Bamforth@mailonline.co.uk  An investigation into footage circulating of a shocking altercation between a non-league player and supporters has been launched.A video, which has gone viral on social media, appears to show supporters fighting with members of the Minehead AFC squad, a club in the Somerset County Football League.The incident came following Minehead's 2-1 defeat at home to Stockwood Green, in which they conceded a last-gasp winner. As players from Minehead made their way toward the dressing room after the match, a group of fans seemingly clashed with two members of the squad.There is then a collision with the supporters as one particular player appears to receive the brunt of the attack.He then manages to get inside of the dressing room while the group continue to try get through the door, before the crowd eventually disperses. One non-league player seemed to be the subject of an attack from supporters after a defeat The fans tried to continue a mass brawl into the changing rooms, but the player managed to get awayMinehead have since released a statement on Facebook confirming an investigation into the incident has been launched.'We are fully aware and disappointed by the incident that happened at the club yesterday afternoon,' the club said.'This is currently being investigated and the relevant authorities are involved. As this is an active investigation, no further comments will be made from us during this time.Before the statement was released, a Facebook user who had come across the video confirmed that they had reported the clash to the authorities.They wrote: 'Just seen the video of the Minehead fans piling in and thumping their own players in the head. Sent the video to the police.
