'RIOT WAVE' HITS EUROPE: Belgium Rocked By Clashes After France Student Unrest | Watch

After weeks of student protests in France, Belgium is witnessing fresh unrest as demonstrators clash with police during a nationwide strike against government budget cuts.

Tear gas filled the streets of Brussels on October 9 as workers and high-school students joined demonstrations opposing Prime Minister Bart De Wever's plans to save €10 billion over the coming years.
Belgian students, inspired in part by protests in neighbouring France, are demanding action over rising education costs, overcrowded classrooms and access to study materials.
In the eastern city of Liège, earlier demonstrations led to around 200 arrests and injuries to dozens of police officers.
The unrest comes as Belgium's government faces an October 13 deadline to reach an agreement on spending cuts.
