Graham Foulkes offered his son David some advice for navigating the Underground ahead of his first solo trip to London. The 22-year-old had just started a new job in Manchester and was heading to the capital for a meeting. ‘He was so excited, I gave him the usual dad advice – where to sit, which route to take.’ But on the morning of July 7, 2005, David took a wrong turn on the Circle line and ended up just metres from a bomber who detonated an explosive at Edgware Road. He was one of 52 people killed in the coordinated London transport attacks that injured nearly 800 others. #london #77 #londonunderground
