McPHERSON, Kan. — McPherson Center for Health invites the community to an evening of family-friendly fun, food, and healthcare education during its Rural Health Clinic Open House on Wednesday, September 16, from 5 to 7 p.m. The event will take place at the Rural Health Clinic, 1000 Hospital Drive in McPherson, and will give community members an opportunity to explore the clinic, meet members of the healthcare team and learn more about services available close to home. Guests can meet new Family Medicine physicians with Obstetrics Dr. Aaron Holt and Dr. Collin Harvey, tour the Rural Health Clinic and take a behind-the-scenes look at the Women’s Care and Birth Center. The evening will also include activities for the whole family, including food and drinks, face painting, hair tinsel, and other fun activities provided by local vendors. Community members can also take advantage of having designated staff available to assist with the new patient portal access, answer questions and help patients get connected to their online healthcare information. “We wanted this open house to be an opportunity for our community to come through our doors, meet our team and learn more about the care available right here in McPherson,” said Carol Fickes, Chief of Provider and Clinic Operations. “We’re excited to welcome families to explore our clinic and Birth Center while enjoying a fun evening together.” The event is free and open to the public, and no registration is required.
