M4 traffic LIVE: Closure near Cardiff as police incident sparks motorway chaos

Traffic Wales urged drivers to allow extra time for their journeys while the police incident affected the M4.

In its statement, it said: “M4 J33 Capel Llanilltern to J32 Coryton, in both directions.

“The road is currently closed in both directions due to a police incident.

“Allow extra time for your journey.”

The motorway has since reopened, although heavy traffic remains in the area.
