We have not properly communicated what we do. I have no interest in causing an environmental disaster on my legacy. That’s never going to happen. We will bring plans out for a one gig facility and show what the heat profile looks like, the light, the noise, the water, all of it. When we build this, you can come and kick the tires and extrapolate from this. We need to become more ingrained with the community and I think that is going to be incorporated into all projects. If I’ve said anything that offends you or done anything that you think has been unfair, I apologize. But I also would say I want you to lend an open ear to what I’m going to show you in the months ahead.
Mamdani is a genius at social media. Every outrageous proposal generates headlines, millions of views, and new eyeballs without him having to pay for the attention. Whatever you think of his politics, I have to give credit where it’s due. I even tried to hire his social media director after meeting her at the Marty Supreme premiere. There’s a lesson here for every politician heading into the midterms, get someone who understands how to capture attention and dominate the conversation.
Dock rockin' with The Dirty Cowboys. When the waves are lapping on the dock and the crisp #Montrachet is flowing in the sunshine, its definately time to bring out Mr. Strat. Also featured two new indepent watch makers Simone Brette and Josh Shapiro. It's first time they have ever been paired with the #Blues!
My first job defined me forever. I was hired at an ice cream shop in high school, and on my very first day I refused to scrape gum off the floor, so the owner fired me on the spot. That moment taught me something I never forgot, I wanted to control my own destiny. I never worked for somebody else again, and that experience became one of the pivotal moments that pushed me toward entrepreneurship.
AI isn't here to replace great entrepreneurs. I see it as leverage - the businesses learning to use it now will do more, move faster, and compete better.
Dinner with George and his brother. These two brothers are 102 and 96 years old. You really can’t argue with their advice!
America’s power shortage is creating a major investment opportunity. AI, data centers, cloud computing, and digital payments all depend on one thing, access to reliable, low cost energy. That’s why my investment thesis is simple, show me the power. Companies like Bitzero that can secure energy below six cents per kilowatt hour are increasingly well positioned as power becomes one of the most valuable resources in the digital economy.
You can’t value SpaceX like a normal company based on one quarterly earnings report. The bigger opportunity is what Elon could eventually build by bringing SpaceX, Tesla, robotics, autonomous driving, and the rest of his ecosystem together. I passed on my IPO allocation because liquidity matters to me. But as the stock settles over the next 30 to 60 days, I’ll be watching closely, and I may start building a position.
Wall Street is having a strong run, but Main Street is not feeling the same success. Corporate earnings are beating expectations, AI is improving productivity across the economy, and many businesses are having record quarters, yet inflation and energy costs are still what people feel at the kitchen table. That is the challenge heading into the midterms. If the administration wants more credit for the economy, it has to translate strong earnings and market performance into something everyday Americans can actually feel.
I’m investing millions in rare sports cards because I see them as a legitimate alternative asset class. When you look at the historical performance of truly unique pieces, some have appreciated far beyond the S&P 500, gold, and crypto. My strategy is simple, build a portfolio of 10 to 20 exceptional pieces, hold them long term, and let them appreciate. For me, allocating 3 to 5% of a portfolio to an asset class like this makes a lot of sense.
