What the Transfiguration truly means...

As he prayed, his face changed and his clothes turned dazzling white, joined by Moses and Elijah discussing his coming death in Jerusalem. Russell reflected on the poetic and symbolic layers of the story, careful to note this isn't skepticism about what actually happened, but recognition that God lived out a truth so permanent it would outlast time itself, something meant to be recognized rather than merely witnessed.
