SleepScroll is a free browser toy that offers an alternative to the endless social media feed. Instead, you are invited to interact with something designed to help you fall asleep rather than keep you awake. You scroll through a night sky where every familiar gesture works differently.
Double-tap to make little stars appear. You get messages from the moon or the night that don't need a reply, and there are no accounts, ads, algorithms, or data collection. As you scroll, you can tap sheep to count them, connect stars to form temporary constellations, and give them names.
Nothing is saved. The longer you stay, the darker the screen becomes. After a while, the scrolling ends. The screen simply says "lights out" and the experience is over. Instead of trying to hold your attention, SleepScroll is designed to give you a reason to stop looking at your phone. I used this site as a daytime mind reset, and I feel better afterward.
