Former Ganni CEO joins Kylie Jenner's fashion brand Khy as Chief Executive
Former Ganni CEO Laura du Rusquec has been named Chief Executive Officer of Kylie Jenner's direct-to-consumer fashion label Khy, WWD has reported.
Du Rusquec brings more than 20 years of experience to her new role at Khy, at a time when the brand is looking to evolve beyond the limited-edition drop model it launched with in 2023.
Jenner founded Khy as a direct-to-consumer label built on a collaboration model, launching 'drops' every couple of months with notable industry names, such as Berlin label Namilia. In between collaborative drops, it would launch limited collections of basics, such as bodycon jersey separates.
In a Vogue interview in April, Jenner announced that the brand was undergoing a "refresh" and that she wanted Khy to "feel permanent versus trend-based".
The appointment of du Rusquec signals a new chapter for the business as Khy adopts a more structured approach to its next stage of growth.
Du Rusquec most recently served as CEO of Ganni, where she departed in April after two years in the role.
Before joining Ganni, she spent seven years at Balenciaga, where she rose to deputy CEO.
Earlier in her career, she held senior positions within the Kering group, including global brand director for marketing and merchandising at Pomellato for three and a half years, and worked in strategy at Gucci. She began her professional career in investment banking at Morgan Stanley.
Jenner told WWD in a statement that: "Laura's appointment reflects where Khy is headed, a brand defined by craftsmanship, longevity and a clear point of view."
"Her experience across luxury and fashion leadership is exactly what this chapter calls for, and I'm proud to be building this next era alongside her," she added.
Du Rusquec commented that she was "thrilled to join Khy ... at such a pivotal moment."
