Brendan Fraser’s New World War II Thriller Pressure Officially Releases On Digital Tomorrow After Impressive Box Office Run

Pressure is coming to digital. Directed by Anthony Maras, the World War II thriller chronicles the 72 hours before the Allied invasion of Europe, and the crucial role that Captain James Stagg played in forecasting the weather on D-Day. The film, which hit theaters on May 29, stars Brendan Fraser as Dwight "Ike" Eisenhower, with Andrew Scott playing Stagg. Universal Pictures now confirms that Pressure will arrive on VOD Tuesday, June 16. The film will be available to rent and purchase from most major retailers, including Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, and Fandango at Home. A physical media release will follow next month, with the 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD set to arrive on July 28. The Popcornmeter is even higher at a glowing 95%, indicating widespread audience approval. At the box office, Pressure, which remains in theaters, has so far grossed just over $15 million worldwide, comprising $14 million domestically and $1 million from overseas. The film was made on a budget of $80 million, meaning it's unlikely to become profitable in theaters.
