Former US football star Alexi Lalas left fellow pundits stunned after using a colourful British football insult while discussing TV presenter James Corden during a live World Cup broadcast.

Before the discussion could properly get underway, Lalas joked that the comedian was what football fans would call a ‘f***** w*****.
