RTÉ 2FM presenter Helen Galgey tipped to enter Love Island villa as late bombshell
RTÉ 2FM radio presenter Helen Galgey is reportedly set to make an appearance on Love Island. An insider close to the star told RSVP Live that she is currently in discussions with producers about entering the villa as a bombshell.Helen hosts 2FM Weekend Afternoons alongside Benny Bracken every Saturday and Sunday from 12pm - 3pm.Helen won't be the only Irish face in the villa this year — Galway GAA player and primary school teacher Sean Fitzgerald is already on the show, while Victoria Onanusi, from Kildare, also recently made her entrance as a bombshell.Helen previously dated the Galway GAA star turned Islander, with reports that ITV producers are looking for ways to shake things up after Sean and Lola became an official couple just a few days into the show. When it was first announced Seán would appear as a contestant on this year's show, Helen posted a stunned reaction video alongside the caption: “Solidarity with all my sisters finding out their ex is on Love Island today.”During a recent Q&A on social media, Helen was asked if she would be commenting on Love Island while her ex is in the villa.“I’ll be watching it like a hawk, but as far as commentating, no, I feel like enough people do that, and to be honest, I don’t consume any of that content,” she confessed. The RTE presenter than went on to praise her ex, stating that she believes he's coming across very well on the hit reality show.“I think Fitzy is so good, like the first episode I was like, ‘do something, do something’, but now I think he’s actually playing it smart,” she said.“He’s lovely looking, and he doesn’t need to be doing all that, which I’m kind of glad.“So it’s kind of cool that he’s just being chilled and laid back and, like, letting them come to him, so it’s he’s a full match.”Tensions have been building in the villa following a game played among the islanders on Thursday night, reports RSVP Live. The game, called 'It's Not That Deep', marked the islanders' first challenge. Contestants had to make their way down a slippery mini-slide, and upon landing in a pool, were instructed to grab a drink and reveal a secret about one of their fellow Islanders of the opposite sex.The contestants were then told to throw their drink at the islander they believed the secret was about. Some of the secrets about the boys included: 'This person ranks money as the least important factor in a partner, 'This boy's nightmare partner is someone who loves attention', 'This boy has slept with 11 girls but can only recall three of their names,' and 'This boy's friends would describe him as having a wandering eye.'The revelations about the girls included: 'This girl once said I love you followed by her ex's name to her boyfriend at the time,' 'This girl thinks it's fine to hide how many people she's slept with from her partner,' and 'This girl has been told that her red flag is leading guys on.'The atmosphere in the villa shifted during the game as the boys grew increasingly irritated by some of the girls' remarks regarding their guesses, with several calling out the "hypocrisy".Subscribe to our newsletter for the latest news from the Irish Mirror direct to your inbox: Sign up here.
