All-Ireland series: Details confirmed for third round draw and Tailteann Cup semi-finals

GAA HQ have confirmed the details for the third round of the All-Ireland Football Championship.Like the previous round, the draw will take place on Monday, June 15, during the Morning Ireland radio show on RTÉ Radio One, shortly after the 8.30am news.The draw will attempt to avoid provincial final pairings and, where possible, repeat pairings from round one.Read more:A second draw will take place to determine the home venue for each fixture.The third round will see the four losers from Round 2A play against the four Round 2B winners.Winners of round 2A will earn a place in the quarter-finals of the All-Ireland Football Championship, whilst losers of round 2B will be eliminated from the Championship altogether.There will also be a draw for the Tailteann Cup semi-finals, with previous meetings from this year’s Championship being avoided where possible.The All-Ireland round three fixtures and Tailteann Cup semi-finals will be played on the weekend of June 20-21.All eight of the round two fixtures, both A and B paths, in the All-Ireland Football Championships and the Tailteann Cup quarter-finals will take place this weekend, with all nine Ulster counties in action.
