Thurles set to host both All-Ireland quarter-finals

The Clare-Dublin and Cork-Offaly All-Ireland quarter-finals have both been fixed for FBD Semple Stadium in Thurles but they will not form a double-header. The meeting of Leinster finalists Dublin and 2024 All-Ireland champions Clare has been fixed for Saturday, 20 June on 7pm, with Offaly facing Munster finalists Cork the following day, Sunday 21 June at 3.30pm. Both games will be broadcast live on RTÉ. Traditionally, All-Ireland quarter-finals have been played as a double-header, usually in Thurles, though last year's quarter-finals were played at different venues on the same day, with Dublin shocking Limerick at Croke Park in the opener, while Tipperary overcame Galway in the TUS Gaelic Grounds later on that afternoon. However, likely owing to the perceived demand for tickets in the Cork-Offaly encounter - with the latter returning to the All-Ireland quarter-final stage for the first time in over two decades, the GAA have opted to play both games on different days. The day before, Clare meet Dublin in a repeat of the Division 1B final and the 2023 All-Ireland quarter-final, both of which were played in Limerick and went the way of Brian Lohan's side. Cork last faced Offaly in the championship in the 2024 All-Ireland preliminary quarter-final, a week after the latter had claimed the Joe McDonagh title for the first time, with Cork running out nine point winners.
