Grant announces €8m investment in Offaly operations
Co Offaly-based heating technology manufacturer Grant Engineering has announced an €8m investment in its manufacturing operations.
The new investment will support an expansion of Grant's production facilities and the launch of a new range of hot water cylinders designed for use with heat pump systems.
With over 45 years of manufacturing experience, Grant has grown from its base in Birr into an internationally recognised brand in home heating. It employs over 400 people and supplies markets across Ireland, the UK, Europe and New Zealand.
As part of the investment, Grant has launched its new "Quick Recovery" cylinder range, manufactured at its headquarters in Birr and developed to work alongside its Aerona R290 air source heat pump. Grant said the two form a fully integrated home heating system designed to meet the growing demand for low-carbon heating solutions.
Grant said its new investment strengthens its ability to design and produce next-generation heating technologies in Ireland, while supporting increased demand across domestic and export markets.
It also comes at a time of accelerating demand for heat pumps, driven by national climate targets, evolving building regulations and government-backed retrofit schemes.
Stephen Grant, founder of Grant, said the company is seeing a clear shift in Ireland and across its wider markets towards sustainable heating technologies.
"This investment ensures we can continue to design and manufacture high-quality, innovative products here in Ireland that support that transition," he added.
Niall Fay, CEO of Grant, said the launch represents an important step in strengthening the company's position in a rapidly growing heat pump market.
"By developing cylinders specifically for use with our award-winning Aerona R290 heat pump, we are providing installers and homeowners with a fully integrated solution that delivers both performance and efficiency," he said.
"It also reflects our continued investment in manufacturing and innovation, strengthening our ability to meet growing demand for integrated low-carbon heating solutions and supporting the future of sustainable home heating," he added.
