Knife crime is again in the spotlight after two lives were lost in Dublin.Qayyum Balogun (21), who died after he was stabbed three times in a suspected targeted attack following an event at the club in Bewley’s on Grafton Street at around 3am on Bank Holiday Monday morning.Ballyfermot native Thomas Griffin (32), who gardai suspect was slashed in the face and on his body in a suspected attack at the War Memorial Gardens in Islandbridge, Dublin, at around 10pm on Saturday.It is believed that Thomas tried to escape his attackers by entering the river - where he swam in the direction of the Chapelizod Road before succumbing to his injuries by the riverside.
