Greenvolt Next to create 90 jobs as Waterford HQ expands

Renewable energy specialist Greenvolt Next has announced plans to create 90 new jobs across its Irish and UK operations over the next 12 months, with more than half of the roles based at its headquarters in Waterford. The recruitment drive forms part of a major investment programme aimed at supporting the company’s expansion plans, strengthening its talent base and increasing its capacity to deliver large-scale renewable energy projects. Of the 90 new positions, 50 will be located in Waterford, where Greenvolt Next is also investing in an expansion of its headquarters. The facility will increase in size by 2,176 sq ft and will be equipped with new technologies designed to support the company’s future growth. The company said it will recruit a range of mid-level and senior professionals, including project engineers, senior project engineers, project managers and site managers, as demand for renewable energy solutions continues to rise across Ireland and the UK. Greenvolt Next, which is part of the Greenvolt Group, works with commercial and industrial customers on renewable energy projects and has delivered some of Ireland’s largest solar developments. Its portfolio includes the Sanofi Waterford solar farm, while it also counts major retailers such as Lidl, Aldi and Tesco among its clients. According to the company, the expansion will enable it to deliver a greater number of renewable energy projects for developers and landowners while helping businesses meet growing sustainability requirements. Owen Power, CEO of Greenvolt Next Ireland & UK, said the company’s growth had been driven by its ability to provide reliable and cost-effective energy solutions. “Our success to date has been driven by our ability to deliver the most reliable and cost-effective energy solutions to customers, underpinned by unmatched resources and expertise,” he said. “Looking to the future, which will only see greater demand for such projects, we want to continue making a tangible impact for businesses and the environment.” The company expects revenue growth to accelerate over the next three years, supported by increasing demand for renewable energy technologies and new corporate sustainability reporting requirements. Greenvolt Next forecasts particularly strong demand for solar panel installations and battery storage systems over the coming year.
