Primecore targets 150 new jobs as former DPS Group executive joins leadership team
Irish programme management firm Primecore has unveiled plans to create 150 new jobs by 2028 as it accelerates its international expansion strategy following the appointment of former DPS Group managing director Kevin Fenton to a senior leadership role.
The Cork-headquartered company said Fenton has joined as managing partner of its Advanced Technology Solutions (ATS) division, a move that comes after a period of strong growth for the business.
Primecore reported revenue growth of 50% over the past six months, with turnover exceeding $18m (€15.5m).
The company is now forecasting revenues of $50m (€42.9m) by 2028, driven by an expanding client base across the life sciences, advanced technology and semiconductor sectors.
The company has already recruited 15 new employees during the last quarter and expects to add 150 jobs across its operations in Ireland and the United States over the next three years.
The revised hiring target represents a 50% increase on the 100 jobs forecast by management in December 2025.
Chief executive Aidan O’Dwyer said the business had broadened its multinational client portfolio to include major advanced technology and semiconductor companies.
“We have expanded our multinational client base to include major advanced technology and semiconductor blue chip clients as we support capital programmes in complex operating environments,” he said.
“Now Kevin’s appointment as ATS managing partner gives us the leadership, sector experience and credibility to grow our capability at pace across Ireland, the US and international markets.”
Fenton brings more than three decades of international experience in engineering programme and project management across the advanced technology and life sciences sectors.
He previously served as managing director of DPS Group, where he worked alongside several members of Primecore’s current leadership team before DPS was acquired by Arcadis in a deal worth approximately $270m in 2022.
Commenting on his appointment, Fenton said demand was growing for experienced partners capable of overseeing complex capital investment projects.
“Clients need partners who can bring structure, clarity and senior delivery experience into fast-moving environments,” he said.
“My focus will be on leading our advanced technology solutions offering from accountable, credible and practical strategic advice to hands-on delivery for major advanced technology and semiconductor blue chip clients.”
