$550,000 (€472,000) was awarded to 50 organisations across 21 counties in support of education initiatives used to expand access to learning for people or all ages and innovative approaches to address pressing social challenges.
Ten organisations received grants of $50,000 (€43,000). These organisations focused on building stronger and more resilient communities.
The funding comes via the generosity of donors to The Ireland Funds America, which is the largest of the global chapters of The Ireland Funds.

This demonstrates the power of collective philanthropy to drive meaningful change across communities throughout Ireland.
President & CEO of The Ireland Funds, Caitriona Fottrell, said the funding helped organisations responding to local challenges.
‘From expanding access to education to supporting innovative ideas, these grants are helping drive meaningful progress,’ Ms Fottrell added.
‘None of this happens without the generosity of our donors who continue to support real impact across the island.’
Among those benefiting from The Ireland Funds is Active Connections, with CEO Ray Burke branding it a ‘vital catalyst’.
He explained: ‘By generously supporting both our frontline delivery and capacity-building initiatives, they have strengthened our foundations.
‘This crucial investment has empowered us to scale our solutions sustainably, expanding our impactful programmes to reach and support more communities.
