League of Ireland wrap: Shamrock Rovers beat St Pats, Bohs ease past Sligo Rovers

A full round of games took place this evening in the SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division. At Tallaght Stadium, front-runners Shamrock Rovers scored the only goal of the game with Graham Burke striking a stunner after nine minutes. Stephen Kenny's Saints have now lost their previous three outings against Rovers. Waterford and Drogheda finished 3-3. Tom Lonergan got Waterford off the mark after just a minute of play against Drogheda, and they went 2-0 up within 20 minutes. Mark Doyle got one back for Drogheda to leave it 2-1 to Waterford at half time, and on 58 minutes, Sean Farrell levelled it up at 2-2 before then Ryan Brennan found the net to put Drogheda 3-2 up in 66 minutes before a late equaliser. Dundalk went 1-0 up against Derry City after 20 minutes with Daryl Horgan on the scoresheet early on, before Cameron Dummigan equalised. Dundalk was stuck again on 60 minutes and it finished 2-1. Over in Sligo, the visitors, Bohemians, were 3-1 winners against Rovers Shels and Galway were scoreless at the break at Tolka Park, but it finished up 1-1.
