Former Proud Boys leader tells Channel 4 News he deserves $50m from Trump’s new ‘slush fund’
An unprecedented $1.8 billion dollar fund created by the Trump administration to pay people who they say were victims of government harassment in the courts has been condemned as “the most brazen act of presidential corruption this century” by two of the police officers who defended the Capitol during the riot on 6 January 2021.
They say it’s illegal and fear that it could end up paying out compensation to people who took part in the rioting.
But as we found, the fund is proving controversial among Republicans.
