Rod's Secret Garden hosts half term outdoor cooking session
Claire Curran, a former primary school teacher and founder of Wellness in the Wild, is providing a free outdoor cooking session designed to inspire families to enjoy healthy, homecooked food.
Using excess produce and seasonal vegetables, she will guide participants step-by-step through the processes to create a delicious dish, to eat or take away.
The event takes place during May half-term, so is perfect for those looking for a meaningful, free, family outdoor holiday activity.
The workshop combines the benefits of being outdoors with real skills which can be used again at home in the kitchen.
The workshop is on Friday, May 29, 4pm to 6pm, in Rod’s Secret Garden.

“We already reduce waste in the garden by composting and grow delicious herbs, salads and fruit here.
“Claire’s workshop is the next step - picking, cooking, and eating outdoors.
“We can all learn new cooking skills and enjoy the simple pleasure of eating together”
