Elderly couple tied up and ordered to hand over money by masked men during terrifying burglary
An urgent appeal has been issued to the public after an elderly couple 'were left shaken' after being ‘tied up and ordered to hand over money’ during a terrifying burglary incident.Detectives in Northern Ireland are appealing for information following a report of a burglary at residential premises at the Formoyle Road area of Macosquin in Co Derry in the early hours of Saturday morning.At around 1:15am, the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) received a report that two masked men entered a property in the area.It was reported that a man in his 70s and a woman in her 60s were tied up by the men and ordered to hand over money.According to police, the men left the property, taking two mobile phones, a watch and the keys for a blue Nissan Juke that was parked nearby.The men drove off in the vehicle, which was last seen at the Moore Road area of Derry shortly after 2am.Join Irish Mirror's crime and court group on WhatsApp Get all the big crime and court stories direct to your phone on our new WhatsApp service.
