Punisher: One Last Kill Rotten Tomatoes Score Officially Breaks All-Time Marvel Record By Miles
Frank Castle has made his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this time in his own solo project. Disney+ has officially dropped its latest MCU project, as The Punisher: One Last Kill has finally been released, which also means the arrival of reviews. Following its streaming release, Bernthal's MCU Special Presentation has emerged with 82% on Rotten Tomatoes. The number is subject to change as more critics submit their reviews and register them on Rotten Tomatoes. The audience score will emerge in the coming day, as more viewers tune in for The Punisher: One Last Kill.

One Last Kill also has the best Rotten Tomatoes score for any Punisher adaptation, surpassing not only the Netflix TV show but also the live-action films from the early 2000s. In terms of MCU Special Presentations, the 2026 project is, as of right now, Marvel's third well-received one.
In ScreenRant's The Punisher: One Last Kill review, the Phase 6 entry was praised for its "character study that makes you more invested if you weren't already on board, while paving the way for a new era for the MCU's Punisher." The offshoot was also celebrated for how it got Frank to become "someone that can serve the best of both worlds, where it both honors the character's purpose in a larger, interconnected franchise." Bernthal shared in ScreenRant's The Punisher: One Last Kill cover story how he and director/co-writer Reinaldo Marcus Green wanted to truly show Frank at his lowest. The MCU veteran stressed how "I felt like we really needed to see what rock bottom looked like with Frank, and I think you're going to see it in this." After The Punisher: One Last Kill ending, it won't be long until the MCU audience sees Frank again. This summer, Bernthal is finally getting a chance to bring his character to the big screen in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, as Tom Holland will swing back into theaters as Peter Parker on July 31.

The next TV release in the MCU timeline will be the VisionQuest TV show, which is confirmed to premiere on October 14. Daredevil: Born Again season 3, which is currently shooting, will be back in 2027 on Disney+, but an exact launch date has yet to be set.
Whether the Punisher is part of Marvel Studios' 2027 plans has yet to be revealed. However, given the early success of One Last Kill, it wouldn't be shocking to see Bernthal back as Frank sooner rather than later after Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The Punisher: One Last Kill is now streaming on Disney+.
