Source taps Siemens and Evolt for EV charger maintenance

Under the agreement, Siemens eMobility will provide DC fast-charging hardware for an increasing number of Source charging hubs, while Evolt Charging will handle installation, commissioning and field maintenance services. The companies said the collaboration is designed to create a unified operational model as Source continues to scale its network.Evolt Charging will deploy engineers across Scotland, England, Wales and the Republic of Ireland. According to the companies, the engineering teams are already trained and accredited to work on Siemens eMobility equipment, enabling Source to manage maintenance and repair activities through a single service partner regardless of charger type or site location.The partnership is intended to support Source’s target of maintaining more than 99 per cent uptime across its charging network. Siemens eMobility will provide specialist technical support where required, while Evolt Charging will oversee day-to-day field operations.Source currently operates ultra-rapid charging hubs across the UK and Ireland and plans to expand the network to 300 locations by 2030.
