Dave Chappelle Reportedly Brings Kanye West On Stage During Standup Show
Dave Chappelle brought out his longtime friend, Ye, during a comedy show.TMZ reports that on Sunday night, Chappelle did a set at The Comedy Store in West Hollywood when he asked the artist formerly known as Kanye West to grace the stage, though he didn’t perform.Dave brought West up after finishing his stand-up set; apparently, as the Donda rapper approached, Chappelle joked, “Kanye West has lost more money than I've ever made.” The audience was ecstatic and cheered during Ye’s appearance, which saw him shaking fans’ hands and receiving a standing ovation.Phones were banned at the event, so, sadly, there’s no footage of the moment.COMPLEX SHOP: Shop the brands you love, anytime and anywhere. The biennial event is taking place from May 4 to 10 in Los Angeles.While it looks like West and Chappelle are on good terms now, last year was a different story. In February 2025, Ye took several jabs at Chappelle during an antisemitic tirade, bashing his friend for allegedly showing his “true colors.” Kanye also claimed that Chappelle had been lying to Black people and is actually assisting the Jewish community and their alleged "agendas.""Why do I target Dave Chapelle?
