Movie Night: Inside I'm Dancing
On Saturday, 9 May, Rascals Brewery & Pizza Restaurant in Inchicore is hosting a movie night from 6:30 pm - 10 pm as part of Culture Date With Dublin 8. They will screen the 2004 film Inside I'm Dancing, directed by Damien O'Donnell - a movie that follows Michael Connolly, a young man with cerebral palsy living in a residential home in Dublin. Tickets €6.09, which includes a glass of beer* and popcorn.
Baby Market Dublin
On Sunday, 10 May, Baby Market Ireland is taking place at Applewood Community Centre in Swords from 12 pm - 2 pm. This market style events allows parents to buy and sell preloved baby, children and maternity goods. Local baby-related business, service, craft and info stalls will be in the mix too. The Clash Tribute: Pub Quiz + Concert
On Friday and Saturday evening, The Bernard Shaw in Dublin 9 will host a themed trivia night focused on the legacy and music of The Clash - from early punk anthems to deep cuts and lyrical twists. Prizes will be awarded to the highest-scoring teams. At 10:30 pm, there will be a live set from a Clash tribute act, followed by The Clash DJ Afterparty at 00:30 am. Tickets from €7.78 on Eventbrite.
Snip & Stick: World Collage Day
The Ground Up Craftivist Collection is hosting a craft session on Saturday, 9 May, in Mounttown Community Facility in Dún Laoghaire. Running from 11 am - 12:30 pm, the session will see collages created with recycled materials to tell mini stories. No experience is needed. Tickets €15 for adults and €10 for children aged 10 and over.
TWILIGHT RAVE
The Workman's Club in Dublin 8 is hosting a Twilight-themed night, with DJs spinning the movies' soundtracks in full alongside Dark pop, emo, indie, and 2000s bangers. Whether you're Team Edward or Team Jacob, this is your night to dance like you’ve lived a thousand lives. Vampire and werewolf dress-up is highly encouraged. Strictly 18+, tickets from €9.72.
