Droitwich RSPCA investigating dead puppy found in 'suspicious circumstances'
The RSPCA are investigating the 'suspicious circumstances' surrounding the death of a puppy in a stream.The dark grey and black short haired bull breed male puppy was found in water located behind Wye Close, in Droitwich, on Sunday, May 3.The puppy is estimated to be between eight and 10 weeks old and possibly a Cane Corso or Staffordshire Bull Terrier type dog.READ MORE: Police update after woman's Chelmsley Wood deathREAD MORE: Arrest after university students 'targeted' by Birmingham flasher over two monthsThe alarm was raised by a dog walker who spotted the "distressing" scene.RSPCA Animal Rescue Officer (ARO) Meg Cross, who is making inquiries following the incident, said: "We're grateful to the member of the public who found this poor dog and contacted us."It must have been very distressing to find.“A member of the public who walks their dog in the area most days, said they didn’t see the puppy on the Friday (May 1) but found the pup on their next walk on Sunday (May 3).“However, the dog may have been deceased longer due to the condition he was found in.”Get breaking news on BirminghamLive WhatsApp, click the link to joinTo get the latest news emailed to you, sign up here, it's free.
