Rising South African soprano is dead at 32

Cape Town Opera has posted: ‘We are heartbroken by the unexpected passing of our beloved colleague Khayakazi Madlala. Our thoughts go out to her family and loved ones during this difficult time.’
Khayakazi, who was from Matatiele, made her Royal Opera debut in London last year as High Priestess in Aida.
No cause of death has been disclosed.
