The Venice Biennale has started its previews but before doors even opened, it’s been dogged by controversy. The entire jury resigned in protest at the inclusion of artists from Russia and Israel. Despite the turmoil, the British pavilion is going ahead and is represented by Turner prize-winning painter Lubaina Himid.
