Hantavirus outbreak: how did the infection spread onboard?
The World Health Organisation has said that it suspects the virus that has killed three people on board an Atlantic cruise ship has been spread by human-to-human contact.
Tests have confirmed that a second person who was on the MV Hondius has tested positive for the hantavirus which is normally spread by rats and mice.
There are plans to extract two very sick crew members – one of them British – but the other passengers are having to remain on board.
