Gardai hunt for white car following serious hit-and-run
A motorcyclist is receiving treatment for serious injuries following a hit-and-run in Dublin this week.
Gardaí are currently appealing for witnesses, and are on the hunt for information on a specific care thought to be involved in the incident.
A statement from the force confirmed they had attended the scene, alongside emergency services, shortly after 10pm on Monday night.

The collision happened on Santry Avenue, Ballymun, Dublin.
Gardaí said: ‘Gardaí in Ballymun, Dublin are appealing to the public for witnesses following a serious hit-and-run road traffic collision that occurred on Santry Avenue, Ballymun, Dublin on the night of Monday 6th April, 2026.
‘Shortly after 10pm, Gardaí and emergency services were alerted after a motorcyclist was struck by a vehicle on Santry Avenue. The driver of the car failed to remain at the scene.’

The statement confirmed that the injured motorcyclist was taken to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital for treatment of ‘serious injuries.’
The vehicle that failed to remain on the scene is believed to be a white/cream Renault Kaptur with a black roof.
Gardaí are urging anyone who witnesses the collision, or has any relevant information to come forward and assist with the investigation.
Any road-users who have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were traveling in the area between 10 and 10.30pm are asked to make the footage available to investigating Gardaí.
