HLB names Jack Sheehan partner following latest acquisition
HLB Ireland has announced the appointment of Jack Sheehan as a partner in its audit & assurance practice as its continues to scale following recent acquisitions.
Sheehan joined HLB in December 2024 as an audit director, and he has since led teams providing audit and assurance engagements for a portfolio of Irish and international clients.
Appointed technology sector lead in early 2025, he has played a key role in strengthening HLB Ireland’s focus on a high-growth area.
A Chartered Accountant, he works with owner-managed businesses, domestic companies, and multinationals, with a particular focus on technology and scaling businesses.
“Jack’s appointment to Partner reflects both his contribution since joining the firm and our continued focus on growth, developing our people, and strengthening our leadership team," said Mark Butler, managing partner at HLB Ireland.
"As we continue to expand, promotions like this are critical to supporting that growth and delivering for our clients.”
Sheehan said: “I am delighted to be appointed Partner at HLB Ireland.
"I’ve had the opportunity to work with a strong team and a diverse client base since joining, and I look forward to continuing to support our clients and contribute to the firm’s growth, and indeed taking a hands-on relationship led approach to all engagements.”

The appointment follows news earlier this week that HLB Ireland acquired Leahy O’Riordan Chartered Accountants, a long-established practice based in north Dublin.
