On Saturday, Rogan, 58, was among a number of high-profile guests at the White House Oval Office as the U.S. President put his signature to the executive order, which instructs federal agencies to ease restrictions on psychedelics, including ibogaine, as potential treatments for veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).The gathering hinted that Rogan had once again shifted his stance on Trump, despite having recently voiced criticism over the ongoing conflict in Iran — particularly after the 79-year-old disclosed that the popular podcaster had been in discussions with him regarding life-changing psychedelic therapies. Rogan also delivered a wide-ranging speech detailing how the idea came about, crediting it all "thanks to President Trump" for bringing it to fruition, and making a point of highlighting just how "quick" the Republican had been to take action.Regardless, the pair have joined forces to help speed up access to psychedelic drug treatments, with ibogaine at the forefront of their efforts. Among the first to publicly applaud the initiative was McGregor, who celebrated the announcement in a post on social media. It came as Trump saw his golf course raided by protestors after "chaos unleashed.""Congratulations to my team at Ambio, and to my dear friends, colleagues and partners, Marcus Capone, Rob O'Neill, and Joe Rogan and all on this amazing crusade for the betterment of humanity! Ibogaine for sure is the REAL DEAL," McGregor posted on X.The former UFC champion went further, advocating for the same treatment to become accessible in his homeland, the Republic of Ireland, and boldly proclaimed that Ibogaine was the definitive remedy for PTSD and addiction.Conor McGregor lauded Rogan and Trump's efforts to make psychedelics more accessible (Image: undefined)"Ireland, I pray we get this! If God wills it I will bring it in myself WHEN THE TIME COMES!" he wrote. "We have so many generations of trauma built into us through pain, suffering, addiction, abuse, and IBOGAINE IS THE ANSWER!"Ibogaine is the IMMEDIATE CORRECT REVERSAL of PTSD and addiction. I am 1000% doing this treatment again."McGregor's remarks alluded to his own "lifesaving" treatment he underwent the previous year, following an announcement that he would be stepping away from social media. After a 48-day hiatus, McGregor made a dramatic return to social media in November, publishing an extensive and detailed post on X, chronicling his recent experiences in Mexico and the numerous treatments he had pursued to confront personal trauma. McGregor proceeded to characterize the experience as "incredible, intense, and absolutely eye-opening," asserting that he was shown "what would have been my death" and the profound effect it would have had on his children.McGregor went on to say: "The most enlightening and enchanting experience I have ever undertaken. This treatment is worth its weight in GOLD!" adding, "It is very, very tough, but it absolutely saved my life, and in turn saved my family."
